Cherokee County firefighters responded to reports of a “dock fire” in Leesburg Friday morning.
After receiving a 9-1-1 call from a passing boater, crews were dispatched to the County Road 146 area of Leesburg at around 7:00, only to find the fire already extinguished upon arrival.
However, while en route, firefighters responded to a nearby camper fire, which they quickly extinguished.
It appears that no one was injured in either incident.
Responding agencies included the Sand Rock, Leesburg, and Centre Fire Departments.
