More Details on Wednesday Morning Fatality in Northwest Georgia

A bicycle rider lost his life, on Old Highway 27 – in the pre-dawn hours of Wednesday (on July 3rd); according to Chattooga County, Georgia Sheriff Mark Schrader – Robert Dalton from a Trion address was riding a bicycle when it collided with a moped that was being driven by a male subject. 

Dalton succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.  The subject on the moped was afterwards taken to Atrium Health Floyd – located in Rome – with injuries.   Sheriff Shrader said, Dalton’s body was being sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for an autopsy.
