In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the past 24 hours:

GYMY UPTAIN, age 54 from Gaylesville, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – on charges of Unlawful Possession Controlled Substance (three counts) and also Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

WILLIE EPPS, 43 of Gaylesville, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – on charges of the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (three counts), Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and also with Failure to Appear on the previous charge of Driving While Revoked;

STACEY STONE, age 56 of Gadsden – was arrested by Centre Police on the charge of Breaking & Entering of a Vehicle;

And

MARVIN SLAYTON – 49 of Cedar Bluff – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, and Theft of Property 1st Degree.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 82 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
