“Handling the Heat” by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office

This note from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and from Sheriff Jeff Shaver – temperatures reached peaks as high as 106 °F back in 2023 and EVERYONE should be prepared for – and practice providing assistance to those in need by providing certain precautions to help avoid ANY serious injuries or medical complications due to excessive exposure to the heat.

If ANYONE is experiencing unusual symptoms, after prolonged exposure to the heat – consult a physician or dial 9-1-1 for assistance.
