Happy Father’s Day To All Of The Dad’s

I know it’s only been two short years since my wife (Carole ) and our dog Missy and I moved to Cherokee County. But, after working at WEIS Radio for one year I would like to tell you  a little about my dad. This story could be a book so I’ll keep it short. My dad Ed DeMarco was part owner  of a bar restaurant and party store with his three brothers over the course of many years. It was called DeMarco’s.  My grandparents started and founded it almost a 100 years ago. It doesn’t exist any longer in Lansing, Michigan but it was a special place. The food was very good and we were known for our pizza and steak sandwiches with mushrooms. I’m an only child so I was very close with my parents. They taught me to be fair with people and stressed to have a strong work ethic. I had a blessed childhood. My dad took me to see my first MLB game when I was six years old  in Motown. He showed me the value and excitement of fishing and hunting in which I will always be indebted to him. I could go on and on. Bottom line, I miss my parents everyday and I know they would be ecstatic we moved to Cherokee County. In fact they jumped into my head and made my decision for me. Just remember your dad and mom are with you for only a short time so make the most of it. Happy Father’s Day this Sunday to all the dads !
