Leesburg Town Council Meeting

During the Monday afternoon Leesburg Town Council meeting, Mayor Brandy Pierce addressed the Council about the tree trimming on Hale Drive and Frances Circle. The Council approved Tony Chandler Tree Company for the job for $9500.00

The Council tabled the close security camera until the next meeting. The Council then approved the purchase of an air compressor for Engine 6 approximate cost being $1200.

Next on the agenda, the Council approved a new void check policy to void all checks currently six months outstanding or longer.

The Council then amended the Eagle Scout Dog Park Agreement to exclude the Boy Scouts maintenance on the Park once construction is complete. The Town of Leesburg is responsible for mowing and any other tasks at hand.

The Council approved Friday July 5, 2024 as a holiday for employees of the Town of Leesburg. After that, the Council approved Maintenance Supervisor Brian Griffith to select a 5 foot industrial bush hog for their tractor. He has a $2,400 budget to work with and is authorized to purchase the best one.

The Maintenance Shop is now completed. Leesburg Day will be Saturday September 14th 2024.

The next Leesburg Town Council meeting will be Monday, July 8th.
