Arrest Made in North Georgia on Multiple Charges

Shortly after midnight last Sunday – Summerville, Georgia Police Officers spotted a vehicle at the Pay-N-Tote Grocery Store, on the Lyerly Highway, that they believed to be driven by a man who was on probation – and had removed an electronic ankle monitor.

Police approached the vehicle, and soon identified the driver as 38-year-old Jesse Lee Hayes.  Hayes had an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear and also failed a number of required probation drug tests.

A passenger, identified as 33-year-old Samantha Seeger – was also inside the vehicle with a juvenile.  Police said they could smell the odor of burnt marijuana inside the vehicle and subsequently they located a ”Vape Pen” with suspected methamphetamine.

Hayes was charged with: Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession or Use of Drug Related Objects, and also Failure to Appear.

Because Hayes nor Seeger claimed the suspected methamphetamine, the police say that a warrant will be issued for Seeger’s arrest.
