North Rome Residence Damaged by Gunfire

A North Rome residence was damaged by gunfire early Thursday.

According to the just-released Rome Police Department incident report – Police Officers responded to the Roseway Circle address in reference to a number of gunshots being heard in the area.  They found six spent shell casings.  A pickup truck had a bullet hole in it, and several shots had also been fired into the residence.

The homeowner told Police that approximately four days ago – someone had shot at his house BUT he did not report it.

The matter remains under investigation.
