In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:
MARVIN SLAYTON, age 49 of Cedar Bluff – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Appear/Expired Tag;
MICHAEL BENTLEY, age 39 from Centre arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, was charged with Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree and with Harassment;
HOWELL SIMS, age 60 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – on charges of Failure to Appear, on the previous charges of Driving While License Suspended and No Insurance;
CHRISTOPHER RAINEY, age 57 of Piedmont arrested by the Centre Police Department – charged with Failure to Appear, on prior charges of Having a Switched Tag, an Insurance Violation and No Plainly Visible Tag;
JARRETT THOMAS – 44 of Centre – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, on a Probation Revocation, and with Failure to Appear on previous charges of Theft of Property 1st Degree – and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree;
And
DOUGLAS GOFFAUX, age 67 from Centre, arrested by the Centre Police on a charge of Collision of an Unattended Vehicle.
Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 105 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
