During the early morning hours on Monday, Cherokee County reported a number of “trouble spots”, including a tree downed on County Road 47; a tree was across a house located in the County Road 104 area, it appeared no one was hurt in the mishap; a tree was also down across County Road 273 near Mile Marker 6; and a downed tree was blocking 76 – that, in the Piney Community.
A tree was downed on Cherokee County Road 275, and a number of trees were down along County Road 43 at Tucker’s Chapel.
On Ewing Avenue in Gadsden a tree reportedly fell on a house during the storms this morning; thankfully, everyone was able to exit that structure safely.
As of 5:55am the Cherokee Electric Co op had reports of 202 outages.
