AHSAA announces new 2025-26 spring sports alignments

MONTGOMERY – The Alabama High School Athletic Association announced its 2024-26 spring sports alignments on Thursday, and there are plenty of wrinkles for area teams.

In Class 1A baseball, Gaylesville, Spring Garden, Faith Christian and Jacksonville Christian comprise the new Area 12. Coosa Christian joins those teams in the new Area 12 in softball.

Cedar Bluff, Sand Rock, Donoho, Gaston and Pleasant Valley make up the new Class 2A, Area 13 in baseball. Cedar Bluff, Sand Rock, Gaston and Pleasant Valley are in the new Area 13 in softball.

Piedmont, Glencoe and Ohatchee are in Class 3A, Area 11 in baseball. Those same teams along with Westbrook Christian comprise the new 3A, Area 11 in softball.

Also in Class 3A baseball, Collinsville is in Area 13 along with Fyffe, Geraldine and Sylvania. Those same teams along with Asbury are in 3A, Area 13 softball.

In Class 4A, Cherokee County will compete in Area 12 along with Alexandria, Cleburne County and White Plains in both baseball and softball.
