Mr. Clyde “Buddy” Franklin Mackey, age 72 of Gadsden, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024 at Northside Healthcare.
A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, May 23, 2024 in the Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tim Diggs officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM till the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will include Ira Hand, Nathan Coleman, Mark Jones and Jeff Keener.
He is survived by his sisters, Donna Hand (Ira), Anita Rodgers (Jerry) and Regina Coleman (Mark); special friends, Boonie Humphrey and Becky Lowman; several nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews; Staff of Enhabit Hospice and Northside Healthcare.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Janice Lee Mackey and Laura Patricia Mackey.
Mr. Mackey was a native of Gadsden, AL. He was the son of the late Clyde Lee and Laura Beatrice Mackey and he was of the Methodist faith.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
