Alabama State Troopers worked a two-vehicle accident, involving both a Volvo Fed Ex Truck and a Kubota Tractor Monday afternoon in Cherokee County.
That wreck took place at 1:45pm on Alabama Highway 9 South – near the Cherokee County and Calhoun County line. The driver of that 2012 Volvo was unhurt, however the operator of the 2016 Kubota Tractor, listed as a male from Piedmont – was taken to Gadsden Regional Medical Center for treatment afterwards. The driver of the truck, was listed as a resident of Southside.
That roadway was blocked for a short period of time, as traffic was made to detour around the area while cleanup operations took place.
That wreck remains under investigation.
