Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Conducts Local Round-Up

According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver – Deputies and Investigators conducted a warrant round up in Alexis, Centre, Bomar – and also the Mt. Wisner area on Wednesday.

As a result of the operation, ten individuals were arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Court Orders and Failure to Appear charges.

A total of 18 warrants were executed – along with two new drug charges. 

Those arrested include:

Emily Cowser, 24, arrested for Failure to Appear/Domestic Violence 3rd Degree; Roberto Abernathy, age 43, was arrested for Failure to Appear on previous charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Service, the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and for Burglary 3rd Degree; Christina Evans, 35, and Thomas Williams III, age 48, were both arrested for Failure to Appear on past Traffic Offenses; Marvin Burns, age 56, was arrested for Non-Support; April Hooper was arrested – and charged with Failure to Appear, on charges of Possession (Rainsville Police) of Liquor; Amanda BoYoung was arrested for Failure to Appear on a Traffic Offense for Calhoun County; and Frederick Diamond, 43, was arrested for Theft of Property 3rd Degree.

Additional warrants were signed for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled substance on Dawson Blackledge, 23, and Emily Cowser, 24, for Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance – and also the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
