Cherokee County Arrest Files for Thursday, May 16th, 2024

In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

JEFFREY SPRADLING, age 47 of Cedar Bluff – was arrested by Cedar Bluff Police on charges of Public Intoxication;

BRIAN STITTS, age 67 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Domestic Violence 3rd Degree;

EMILY COWSER, 24 of Centre – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with Failure to Appear on a prior charge of Domestic Violence 3rd Degree;

ROBERT ABERNATHY, age 43 from Gaylesville, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – for Failure to Appear on the previous charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Burglary 3rd Degree;

MARVIN BURNS, age 56 of Centre – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for Non-Support;

BRENDA SEABOLT, 66 from Cedar Bluff, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a Court Order;

DAWSON BLACKLEDGE, age 23 of Buchanan, Georgia was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and was charged with Illegal Possession of Prescription Pills;

CHRISTINA EVANS, age 35 from Centre, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – and charged with Failure to Appear on previous charges of Having an Altered Tag and Having a Switched Tag;

FREDRICK DIAMOND, age 43 from Centre – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Theft of Property 3rd Degree;

THOMAS WILLIAMS, age 48 of Centre – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Failure to Appear on the prior counts of Invalid Insurance, Speeding and Driving While Suspended;

KEYLON HIGGINS, age 19 of Cedar Bluff – was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department and charged with Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree;

AMANDA BOYOUNG, 42 of Centre – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and she is currently On Hold for Another Agency;

And

BENJAMIN BROOKS, age 42 of Rome, Georgia was arrested by Cedar Bluff Police and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 108 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
