Widespread rain and some thunderstorms are forecast to move
across Central Alabama on Friday morning. There are some signals that a
break in the rain around midday could allow for conditions to
destabilize as a warm front lifts northward across the area. Additional
thunderstorms are expected to develop from the afternoon through the
evening, and some storms could become strong to severe. Heavy rainfall
and high accumulations may also lead to a localized risk of flooding.
