Alabama State Troopers responded to a pair of wrecks in Etowah County, early Monday morning.

That first was a two-vehicle crash, involving a 2017 Freightliner Tractor-Trailer and a 2005 Cadillac.  That wreck took place at 6:19am on U.S. 278 and injured both the driver and also a passenger in that vehicle and both were listed as male residents of Gadsden.

The driver of the other vehicle – the tractor-trailer – was unhurt.

A short time later, at 8:13am – one individual was hurt in a single-vehicle accident, on U.S. 431 in Etowah County.  According to reports – the driver of a 2002 Ford was injured in the wreck and he was listed as a male from Woodville.

Both accidents remain under investigation.
