The work week could start off a bit on the rainy side for parts of Alabama – that, according to forecasters. And there could be a few strong storms in the mix as well.
NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center is forecasting a Level 2 out of 5 risk for some severe weather TODAY (Monday) and a Level 1 risk on Tuesday for parts of the state. A Level 2 risk means that scattered severe storms will be possible – and a Level 1 risk means that isolated severe storms will be possible. The strongest storms could have damaging wind gusts and heavy rain.
There is NO severe weather in the forecast after Tuesday – however – the weather service will be keeping an eye on the Thursday night into Friday time frame for that next storm system – which could bring a potential for more storms to Alabama.
