In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

JEFFERY WALSH, 38 from Centre, was arrested by Leesburg Police on the charges of Driving Under the Influence/Combined Substance; 

THOMAS BLANCHARD, 58 from Houston, Texas arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, on charges of a Probation Violation, and also with Failure to Appear on previous charges of Burglary 3rd Degree and with a pair of Probation Revocations;

JACK MONAHAN, age 24 from Piedmont arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on the charges of Probation Revocation/Theft of Property 2nd Degree;

HEATHER PROCTOR, age 40 of Fort Payne, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree – as well as Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Conspiracy to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime;

ROBERT BETTIS, age 43 of Cedar Bluff, arrested by Cedar Bluff Police, on a Court Order;

And

JOEY TIERCE, 52 from Centre – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – on charges of the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Conspiracy to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 95 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
