Another of Floyd County, Georgia’s “Most Wanted” in Custody

According to Floyd County, Georgia jail records – a south Rome man has been arrested in connection to an assault, and a home invasion, that both occurred last year.  According to an arrest warrant – 23-year-old Chancellor Lamar Crawford shot at a man on Reservoir Street back on March 7th last year (2023).

Reports indicate that on November 18th Crawford entered an apartment on Smith Street with one or more other people, armed with a gun, and he took a purse containing approximately $4,000 in cash.  The victim in that case was a disabled adult, according to jail records.  Then during a traffic stop last Wednesday, on Newland Street – Crawford got out of the vehicle and attempted to run, but was caught after running about 75 yards.

He stands charged with Aggravated Assault, Armed Robbery, 1st-Degree Burglary, 1st-Degree Home Invasion, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, and also the misdemeanor charge of Obstruction of Law Enforcement.  Crawford is the second person on the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office’s “Most Wanted” list to be captured recently – 32-year-old Dorian Johnson, wanted on multiple charges including kidnapping, was taken into custody as well this week.
