Mr. Bobby Lynn Maxwell, age 73, of Gaylesville, AL, died Sunday, May 5, 2024, at his residence.
Mr. Maxwell was born December 29, 1950, in Fort Payne, AL, son of the late William Lott Maxwell and Gladys Beulah Carr Maxwell. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Harbert International.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Maxwell was preceded in death by a son, Michael Snider; brothers, Glenn Maxwell, Gordon Maxwell, Mose Maxwell, Doyle Maxwell, Gene Maxwell, Charles Maxwell, Phillip Maxwell, and Billy Maxwell; sisters, Paulette Terry, and Virginia Wade.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Lowery Maxwell; son, Bobby Maxwell, II; daughters, Beverly Maxwell, Brandi Maxwell; a sister, Betty Jo Dake; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Maxwell will be held at 1:00 P.M. (AL Time) Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Dow VanPelt officiating. Interment will follow in Weiss Lake Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Austin Abernathy, Lot Maxwell, Eddie Terry, Ricky Mize, Chris Burleson, and Greg Dake. Honorary pallbearers will be Arnold Simms, Jeff Burleson, and Bobby Bonds.
Mr. Maxwell will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon (AL Time) until the hour of service on Wednesday.
