DeKalb County Narcotics Unit Has Been Very Busy

In April 2024, the DeKalb County Narcotics Unit has been very busy.  Agents of the DeKalb County Narcotics Unit assigned to the Alabama Drug Task Force Region F, along with Agents from Jackson, Marshall, Etowah and SBI Drug Enforcement Agents conducted multiple investigations within DeKalb, Etowah and Jackson Counties.

With these thorough investigations, they issued six search warrants and as a result of the search warrants, Agents made nine trafficking cases for methamphetamine and seized approximately 2,742 grams of methamphetamine. This was very eye opening!  Seven arrests were made as well throughout the counties.  Agents also seized 1,578 grams marijuana.  These cases are still ongoing.

This is a total team effort with everyone involved. This type of work is not possible without the relationship they have with Jackson, Marshall and Etowah Counties, as well as the ADETF.  Agents grind day and night to take illegal drugs off the streets, which is something they strive for each and every day.
