Cedar Bluff falls to Ragland 10-5 in East Softball Regional opener

ALBERTVILLE — Ragland scored a run in the first inning, four in the second and four more in the third to take a 10-5 win over Cedar Bluff in the first round of the Class 1A East Softball Regional in Albertville on Tuesday.

Kaylyn Vadon led the Lady Tigers at the plate by going 2-for-2 with a walk and two runs. Tylee Bradford delivered a double and scored a run.

Rylie Walker and Kylie Vadon both had a hit and scored a run. Kylie Vadon also walked. Ciana Smith added a hit and a walk. Blakelea Hall finished with a hit.

Hall also suffered the loss for the Lady Tigers. She worked an inning and gave up four eat runs on two hits with two walks and a strikeout. Kaylyn Vadon tossed the other five innings and surrendered four earned runs on five hits with four walks and a strikeout.

Cedar Bluff faced Valley Head in an elimination game at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley Head lost its regional opener to Appalachian 11-3.
