ALBERTVILLE – Grayson Tucker allowed just one hit through three innings with three strikeouts, and Emma Hill tossed four hitless innings with three walks and 10 strikeouts to lead the Cherokee County Lady Warriors to a 5-0 victory in the East Softball Regional in Albertville on Monday morning.

Abby Lea, Macy Lea and Bristol Bass each had a pair of hits and scored a run apiece for the Lady Warriors. Abby Lea and Bass both doubled. Bass drove in a run.

Anna Walker doubled and walked. Tucker tallied a hit, a walk, a run and two RBIs. Lanie Williams had a hit and scored a run. Audrey Haygood drove in a run.

The Lady Warriors will now take on Madison County, a 10-0 winner over Jacksonville in other first-round action. That game is scheduled for 1:45 p.m. on Monday afternoon at Sand Mountain Park.
