An 18 Wheeler and a passenger car – were involved in an accident Friday afternoon in Cherokee County.
That wreck occurred on Highway 9 South of the Regional Airport in the Blairtown Community, leaving one person injured. The female driver of the car suffered injury to her hand and arm according to preliminary reports. That crash took place at approximately 4:20pm with the roadway completely blocked for more than an hour. It remains unclear what led to the collision.
