In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

JAMES WILLIAMS, age 53 from Cedartown, Georgia – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – and was charged with Certain Persons Forbidden to Carry a Firearm, Altering a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

DONNIE MADDOX, age 41 of Piedmont, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Failure to Appear or Comply and Failure to Appear or Pay

RASHONDA HANNAH, age 31 from Birmingham arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – and charged with Failure to Appear on the prior charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance – Driving While Suspended – and two counts of Having a Switched Tag;

ANDREW FOUNTAIN, age 42 of Leesburg – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – and charged with Failure to Appear on previous charges of the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – Burglary 3rd Degree – and Theft of Property 1st Degree – in addition to the charge of Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle;

MICHAEL HOLCOMB age 54 of Fort Payne – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a Court Order;

MEGAN BRYANT, age 32 of Fort Payne – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with Failure to Appear on a previous charge of Criminal Trespass 1st Degree and Bondsman off Bond on the previous charge of Criminal Trespass 1st Degree;

SHANNON MARTIN, age 55 from Rome, Georgia arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and is On Hold for Another Agency;

And

NICHOLAS ELLISON – age 61 of Centre – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and is On Hold for Another Agency.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 96 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
