In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

JOHN MIZE, age 49 from Gaylesville was arrested by Cedar Bluff Police on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

MATTHEW MARTIN, age 32 of Dallas, Georgia was arrested by the Centre Police Department – and charged with Failure to Appear on a prior count of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree;

GARY COUCH, 47 of Piedmont – was arrested by the Alabama Pardon and Parole Board and is currently On Hold for Another Agency;

RICKEY NOBLITT, 59 of Boaz – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a Court Order;

And

JENNIFER BEDWELL, 40 from Piedmont arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – and is currently On Hold for Another Agency.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 94 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
