In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

URSULA CLONTZ, age 53 of  Talladega, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, for a Grand Jury Indictment/the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance;

LEVI LANEY, 30 of Sand Rock – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a Conditional Release Violation;

KEVIN AGAN – age 42 from Weaver was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a Court Order;

And

RICKEY POWELL, 23 from Gadsden was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a Back for Court Order.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 91 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
