Mr Harlow Wesley Reese, of Cedar Bluff passed away Monday, April 29th, 2024 at his home after an extended illness. Harlow also known as (Wes) was born January 27th, 1937 in Summerville, GA to the late George Reese and Talma Glass Chambers.
He was a loving husband and father. He was blessed in union to the late Juanita Smith Reese for 49 years. From this union one child was born: two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Dad was a very hard worker and a dedicated provider for his family. He was known by his grandchildren and great grandchildren as Papa Harlow. After living in Buffalo, New York for a number of years, he returned to his roots where he continued to be a hard worker. Dad had his very own unique way of handling things. He could be very comical at times because as everyone knows he was “funny about his money!” We love you daddy. You will be missed.
Survivors include his daughter, Myrner Anquinett Dean; granddaughter, Clarisse Alicia Swann (Jacob); a grandson, Calvin Terrell Irons (Erica); and great grandsons, Tadarius Marce Rice, Brayden Presley Swann.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Reese; son, Gregory Reese; daughter, Avious Reese.
A graveside service will be held 12PM Monday, May 6th at Waterhouse Cemetery with Rev. Tyrone Jelks officiating. The family will receive friends from 2PM until 4PM Saturday, May 4th at Perry Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
