If You’re Going to an Airport, Make Sure You Have All Your Items at All Times

Birmingham International Airport receives several calls every week from travelers who have left personal items behind at the checkout line, TSA, or throughout the airport.

During spring and summer travel, officials said they see a higher number of lost items. To make it easier for customers who have left items behind at the airport, they are looking at creating a streamlined process for people to contact them.

Communication Director Kim Hunt said that officials are busy looking for these lost items, and they always feel terrible when someone loses something important to them.

They plan to create a website where they can log what they lost and search to see if it has already been turned in.

For now, they encourage people to come to the information desk if they have lost an item or are looking to return a lost item.
