Meredith Johnson

Both Meredith Johnson and Lisa Mobley are VERY important members of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – sharing their dedication and all of their support to the office itself – and to all of the staff members.

Meredith is currently the Chief Clerk – and, she’s been employed with the Sheriff’s Office since 2000.  Meredith attended Tuskegee University and later transferred to Jacksonville State University – where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice.  She manages all of the financial accounts, accounts payable/receivable processes, monthly disbursements of monies received into the Sheriff’s Office.

She also issues pistol permits, and assists the public in the office and also by phone; the Chief Clerk serves as the Sheriff’s Administrative Assistant as well.

Lisa Mobley

Lisa Mobley serves as Warrant Clerk.  Lisa is a graduate of Gadsden State Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Medical Secretary.

Lisa is responsible for the receiving, entering and also maintaining, all of the warrants and civil processes from the County Clerk, and surrounding areas.  This person also issues pistol permits and assists the public in the office and by phone.

They’re very important parts of the team – and we wish them all the best in everything that they do!
