Armuchee, Georgia Man Leads Police on High-Speed Chase

James William Bishop, 61 of Armuchee is facing felony drug charges after leading police on a high-speed motorcycle chase.  Authorities stated they clocked Bishop driving at speeds of over 15 mph above the posted limit – when he refused to pull over.

After arriving at his home located on Haywood Valley, Bishop is accused of running on foot and when he was captured, he was found to have been driving while drunk.  Deputies went on to say that, after arriving at the jail – he was found with suspected methamphetamine on him.

Bishop was charged with – the Possession of Meth, Obstruction, Unlawful Possession of Drugs by an Inmate, Driving Under the Influence, Speeding and Violation of Driving Class.
