Softball’s regular season begins Friday for some area teams, including Spring Garden, Cedar Bluff, Sand Rock and Collinsville. Play continues on Saturday with Cherokee County and Piedmont in action. The action picks back up on Monday with Gaylesville against Valley Head at Skyline. Play continues through Tuesday.

Area winners and runners up will advance to the Albertville Regional on May 6-9.
