Mr. Terry Glenn Nichols, 59, entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 20th. He was born in Centre, Alabama on August 9th, 1964 to Jack and Patsy Bunt Nichols.
Terry was a lifelong resident of Cherokee County and a 1982 graduate of Cherokee County High School. He retired in 2015 from the Cherokee County Highway Department. He was a factory trained Evinrude technician. He also worked on many guitars for his friends and was in several bands with his brother Kim over the years, playing guitar and bass.
Terry is survived by wife, Joann Bryant Nichols; step-sons, Joseph Ryan (Kayla) Winslett and Tyler Porteous; parents, Jack and Patsy Nichols; brothers, Roger (Jeannie) Nichols and Kim (Angela) Nichols and niece Lexie Nichols.
Mr. Nichols was preceded in death by grandparents, Hosie and Flossie Floyd Nichols and Marvin and Annie Bain Bunt.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, April 25th at 2 pm at Perry Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Thomas and Bro. Eddie Nation officiating, visitation from 12 until the hour of service. Burial will follow at Davis Chapel United Methodist Church in the Mt. Weisner community.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the Davis Chapel Cemetery Association.
