Woman Arrested While Visiting Son at Hays State Prison
A woman was arrested while recently paying a visit to her son – at Hays State Prison in Northwest Georgia. According to a report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office this past Saturday, deputies were contacted by prison staff, and told that a woman with an outstanding warrant was at the facility.
Deputies quickly arrived on the scene – and confirmed the warrant – and found that her license was suspended. The woman, who was driving a U-HAUL rental, also admitted to having marijuana inside the vehicle.
After a field sobriety test, Morrisa Coranda Jones was arrested and taken to the Chattooga County Jail on the charges of Driving on a Suspended or Revoked License and DUI for drugs.
