There is a good chance for a few strong storms in north Alabama on both Wednesday and Thursday.
That’s according to the Storm Prediction Center, which has added a Level 1 out of 5 severe weather risk for that region on both days. There is no risk for severe weather for central or south Alabama.
The National Weather Service in Huntsville said there was a LOW chance for severe weather – BUT – if any storms became strong they could bring damaging winds of 40 to 50 mph and small hail. The timeframe for possible storms for Today/Wednesday – according to the weather service, is from 7:00am until 2:00pm – and Thursday storms could be possible from 11:00am until 7:00pm.
