BOAZ – Nevaeh Gaidurgis lost 6-0, 6-2 in the No. 3 singles championship match against Donoho’s Avery Barnett at the Class 4A-5A, Section 6 tennis tournament in Boaz on Wednesday.

This is the first season in five years that Coach Amanda Boozer has coached and had a player make it to a championship match.

“Nevaeh played an amazing match against an amazing player,” head coach Amanda Boozer said. “I couldn’t be more proud of how Nevaeh and this team played this year. They are the best team of coached since I started coaching.”

As a team, the Lady Warriors finished fourth in the sectional tournament, falling just shot of the state tournament.
