PIEDMONT – Cacey Brothers, Cayla Brothers and Ava Pope each bashed a home run as Piedmont pounded out 15 hits in a 13-1 softball win over Wellborn on Tuesday.

Cacey Brothers went 3-for-3 at the plate for Piedmont (15-6). She also doubled, scored twice and had two RBIs. Cayla Brothers was 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs. Pope had two RBIs.

Savannah Smith and Cadence Buttram also went 2-for-3. Smith doubled, scored twice and had two RBIs. Buttram scored a run and had a RBI.

Carson Young doubled, scored a run and drove in one. Jaycee Glover doubled and scored a run. Amarae Champion had a hit, a run and a RBI. Amiyah Thomas delivered a hit and a RBI. Eliza Mathis managed a hit and scored a run.

Smith picked up the win after working all five innings. She gave up and earned run on four hits with no walks and six strikeouts.
