Man Arrested at a Family Dollar Store Parking Lot in Georgia on Sunday

A 41-year-old Marvin Avenue – Summerville, Georgia man – was arrested Sunday at the Family Dollar Store on Commerce Street in Summerville.   Police say the incident started at the man’s residence on Marvin Avenue.   Officers were reportedly called because the suspect was screaming – and yelling – and when officers arrived that suspect told police to “just shoot” him. 

Police called for EMS to check the suspect out – but the suspect ran from the scene.  Police followed him down Kelly Street to Commerce Street and they then arrested him at the Family Dollar Store Parking lot. 

Jeremy Rich was charged with Disorderly Conduct and booked in – at the Chattooga County Jail.
