Centre Water Works – Repair Work FINISHED and Extra Filtering Continues for a Few More Days

WEIS Radio News has already fielded a number of calls about the “fog” or “sediment” the residents of Centre have noticed about their water supply following recent work done by Centre Water Works on the system.

We spoke with General Manager David Garrett about that situation – and he shared with us that all of the water lines are being flushed repeatedly, and that will be the case for the next several days and nothing is amiss at this time – all operations are AS NORMAL.

Again this is merely a result of recent work done by company employees.

If you reside in the city limits of Centre OR just outside the area, you may have noticed some water issues starting early Sunday morning – namely, an extremely weak water flow.  WEIS Radio News spoke with company representatives about the situation and they told as of that morning they were already attempting to secure the necessary parts to make repairs.

We understand that they were looking at an issue on County Road 79 – at that time – and a burst water main was being worked on.

Again, they’re in the process, as a precautionary measure, of flushing the lines for the next few days and everything should be fine NOW – as this is merely a precautionary measure.
