If you reside in the city limits of Centre OR just outside the area, you may have noticed some water issues starting early Sunday morning – namely, an extremely weak water flow.  WEIS RADIO News spoke with company representatives about the situation and they told as of that morning they were already attempting to secure the necessary parts to make repairs.

We understand that they were looking at an issue on County Road 26 – at that time – and a burst water main was being worked on.

Just after 1:00pm Sunday, Centre Water Works reported that repairs had been made, but it would take a considerable amount of time for the main elevated tank to re-fill – and until that process had been completed those on the system COULD experience some low water pressure.

Water works officials reported again that the issue was being addressed, and they asked that everyone affected please be patient while the repair work was being done, and that water service was soon to be restored.

That outage reportedly affected the entire Centre Water Works system.
