GADSDEN – Grayson Tucker and Audrey Haygood both homered to help the Cherokee County Lady Warriors earn a 4-1 softball win over Hueytown in the Gadsden State Umpire Tournament on Saturday.
Tucker went 2-for-2 with the homer and two RBIs. Haygood was 1-for-2 with her homer and a RBI.
Lanie Williams tripled. Abby Lea doubled and scored a run. Raechel Russell finished 1-for-2 with a run.
Emma Hill earned the win in the circle. She worked three innings and allowed just two hits witth a walk and four strikeouts. Abby Lea tossed two innings and gave up an earned run on one hit with three walks and a strikeout.
