Next week is Spring Assessment Week in Cherokee County Schools! All students in grades 2 through 8 will be testing as part of the Alabama Comprehensive Assessment Program (ACAP). We encourage all students to give their best effort and do the very best they can on each subtest. We appreciate the hard work of our students, teachers, and staff members to prepare for the ACAP. We also greatly appreciate the support our students receive from home and throughout the community.

Please help your child prepare for testing by ensuring prompt attendance, plenty of rest, and a healthy breakfast each day.

Please help ensure the safety of your child by reminding them of the dangers of viewing Monday’s solar eclipse without proper eyewear. School activities will be held indoors during the eclipse. Only supervised classes with proper eclipse eyewear will be allowed outdoors during the eclipse. If you prefer that your child not participate in this activity, please notify your child’s teacher.
