In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

CRISTON RAY, age 38 from Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Disorderly Conduct – and with Resisting Arrest;

AUSTIN SMARTT, age 36 of Fort Payne, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – on two counts of Failure to Appear/Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance;

And

CHRISTINE KAFFEL, age 57 of Gaylesville was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department and charged with Public Intoxication.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Currently – there are 95 inmates that are housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
