PIEDMONT – Carson Young went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles, two runs and four RBIs to lead the Piedmont Lady Bulldogs to a 9-3 softball win over visiting Fort Payne on Thursday.

Cayla Brothers was 2-for-3 with two runs and a RBI for the Lady Bulldogs. Cadence Buttram also had a pair of hits and two RBIs. Jaycee Glover doubled and scored three runs. Amiyah Thomas added a hit, a run and a RBI. Eliza Mathis scored a run.

Savannah Smith earned the win in the circle. She tossed over five innings and gave up an earned run on two hits with two walks and eight strikeouts.
