Three New Tagged Fish Winners on Weiss Lake

MANY of the absolute Finest Angler’s from all around the world are HERE in Cherokee County to take part in the Weiss Lake Crappie Rodeo – going strong now!

1,001 tagged fish were released into Weiss Lake for this HUGE event, and fishermen from far and wide are here now – to show off their skills in the Crappie Rodeo – which runs through April 30th. 

Over $130,000 in cash and prizes is up for grabs – simply visit the County Chamber of Commerce, OR the Weiss Lake Improvement Association, for additional information, including the many locations where you can buy your “Fishing Badge” (which is required), a long list of weigh-in locations and much more.

Congratulations to our latest winners – Josh Morrow – out of Fort Payne, recently landed a $50 Fish at Little River Marina; David Howell – out from Johnson City, Tennessee – recently caught a $100 tagged Fish – and of the Mt. Vernon Community, the duo of Jessica and Barry claimed a reward of $1,000 at Yellow Creek – after turning in their prize-winning tag for their Fish!
