Aultman’s no-hitter highlights Warrior baseball sweep of St. Clair County, Sylacauga

SYLACAUGA – Jackson Aultman tossed a no-hitter with four walks and five strikeouts in leading the Cherokee County Warriors to a 10-0 baseball victory in five innings over St. Clair County on Thursday.

The Warriors also got a six-hit, nine-strikeout shutout win on the mound by Ben Elsberry in a 3-0 decision over Sylacauga.

In the win over St. Clair County, Jeb Crane collected three hits, including a home run. He also walked, scored two runs and drove in three more. Cooper Rodgers added a pair of hits, including a double, with a walk, two runs and three RBIs. Nate Black contributed a pair of hits and a RBI.

Parker Wilson doubled, walked, scored a run and had two RBIs. Adam Griffith added a hit and scored a run. Elsberry and Cooper Allen scored a run apiece.

In the win over Sylacauga, Crane collected three hits again, including two doubles, with a walk, a run and a RBI. Wilson added a hit and a RBI. Case Hill had a hit. Rodgers walked and scored a run. Griffith and Jace Turner walked. Allen scored a run.

Cherokee County is scheduled to host Lauderdale County on Friday at 10 a.m.
