In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

ANTHONY FLIPPO, age 53 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on the charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

BRIAN MORGAN, age 38 of Centre – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Driving Under the Influence;

GABRIEL BYRDSONG, age 43 from Gadsden was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, on charges of Failure to Appear on prior offenses of Theft of Property 4th Degree – Driving While Revoked (two counts) – a Switched Tag Violation (two counts) – and – Operating a Vehicle Without Insurance;

GARY PORTER, age 65 from Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Failure to Appear/Attempting to Elude; Failure to Appear/Alcohol Possession in Vehicle; and also the Failure to Appear/Driving Under the Influence  and a Conditional Release Violation for Driving Under the Influence;

BRODY NICHOLSON – age 23 of Piedmont – was arrested by Centre Police on charges of Theft of Property 3rd Degree;

And

TIMOTHY ADAMS, age 59 of Dawsonville – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Theft of Property 2nd Degree.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Currently – there are 95 inmates that are housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
