Lady Warrior tennis team falls to state runner-up Donoho

CENTRE – Last year’s girls tennis state runner-up Donoho defeated Cherokee County 8-1 on Thursday. It was the Lady Warriors’ first section loss of the season.

No. 1 – Anne Marie Harris (Donoho) def. Briley Hincy (Cherokee County) 6-1, 6-0.
No. 2 – Blair Kitchen, (Donoho) def. Aubree Sipsy (Cherokee County) 6-1, 6-0.
No. 3 – Avery Barnett (Donoho) def. Nevaeh Gaidurgis (Cherokee County) 6-2, 6-1.
No. 4 – Natalie Rodgers (Donoho) def. Brooke Hincy (Cherokee County) 7-5, 6-1.
No. 5 – Elizabeth Downey (Donoho) def. Ella Maples (Cherokee County) 6-1, 4-6, 10-8.
No. 6 – Taylor Worley, (Donoho) def. Shirah Frost (Cherokee County) 6-1, 6-3.
