FORT PAYNE – Cayla Brothers homered twice and drove in three runs to lead the Piedmont Lady Bulldogs to a 10-3 softball win at Fort Payne on Thursday.
Cacey Brothers also had a pair of hits, including a double, and drove in two runs for the Lady Bulldogs. Carson Young contributed two hits, including a double with a run and a RBI. Ava Pope had a hit, a run and two RBIs. Kaelyn Green finished with a hit and two RBIs.
Jaycee Glover and Amarae Champion both scored a pair of runs. Savannah Smith also scored a run.
Young picked up the win in the circle. She tossed all seven innings and gave up two earned runs on six hits with no walks or strikeouts.
Piedmont hosts Oxford on Tuesday.
